Pekan Yabbiekarta was far from your ordinary weekend market. Throughout the day on May 10th, visitors were treated to an array of educational workshops, eco-friendly local products, and mouth-watering culinary delights, including:
- Creative Workshops & Cultural Education: Children and adults alike enjoyed the art of traditional leather puppet painting in the Workshop Sungging, learned sign language with the Bawayang community, and crafted beautiful charms from recycled plastic in the Macrame Bag Charm Workshop with Rumah Shiro.
- Wellness & Relaxation: Visitors found their inner peace amidst the greenery through a refreshing Yoga in the Garden session and learned how to blend their own herbal teas during the Tisane Blending class.
- Storytelling in the Garden: Kids gathered happily on the green grass, listening to immersive and fun stories told by Syakirinu, accompanied by a playful appearance from Aqsara’s dinosaur costume.
- Eco-Market & Local Culinary Delights: The market featured curated, eco-conscious local items ranging from ethnic textiles, handmade crafts, and natural skincare by Rupa Rempah, to refreshing legendary treats like Dawet Ireng Sadewi.

As the afternoon rolled in, the atmosphere grew even more magical with intimate live acoustic performances by Samba & Bapak and the soothing tunes of Kebun Kecil. Everyone sang along, danced with Hunang, and embraced the beautiful sunset at Yabbiekayu with smiles all around.
