Melihat banyaknya kayu sisa furniture yang masih memiliki nilai tinggi, UMAIMA Kitchenware memulai ide untuk membuat peralatan dapur yang terbuat dari kayu. UMAIMA memulai produksi pertama pada bulan Maret 2023, namun baru mulai dipromosikan pada bulan Juli 2023. Produk pertama yang dikembangkan oleh Umaima adalah talenan kayu. Produk Umaima aman untuk makanan karena menggunakan beeswax untuk finishing produk. Semua produk Umaima dibuat oleh pengrajin kayu yang diproduksi di workshop Umaima yang terletak di Patalan, Jetis, Bantul.

Inspired by the abundance of leftover furniture wood with high-quality potential, Diah and her team started creating eco-friendly kitchen tools crafted from sustainable wood. Their products are not only functional but also safe, as wood is a natural material that decomposes easily when no longer in use, reducing environmental impact.

UMAIMA began production in March 2023. Their first product, a wooden cutting board, was introduced in July 2023. The wooden cutting board comes in various shapes and sizes, designed to suit different kitchen tasks such as chopping vegetables, fruits, herbs, and even meat. It can also serve as a serving platter for your favorite dishes. Each piece is handmade by skilled artisans in their workshop located in Patalan, Jetis, Bantul.
